Dario home sick :(

DARIO Vidosic's agent says coach John Kosmina's public scolding has further disillusioned the Socceroo.

Following the 2-1 loss to Wellington Phoenix at Hindmarsh Stadium on Friday, Kosmina took aim at the playmaker saying "he chose the wrong option twice" when asked why Vidosic was replaced by Jacob Melling, 16

Very disappointing to hear. Clearly they are using this as an excuse. He wants to go back to Brissy bad.
Good on AU playing hard ball!
Best case scenario we ship him off to China in a straight swap for Flores!
Time to Djbate!

Big sook.

(We won't be getting much more out of him by the looks of it...)

Oh hell!
We'll probably upset him even more with this thread.

He's been a bit of a disappointment so far tbh, would really like to see him respond to this, show a bit of character and knock everyones socks off for the remainder of the year. No doubt he's got some talent, a nice touch and a bit of flare to boot I would just love to see him show a bit of spine and knuckle down become the focal point of our midfield and make everyone around him better!

He's clearly got the skill, we've seen it here and there throughout the season but most of the time he seems to be on a different wave length from everyone else.

The other thing I've noticed is his lack of confidence/commitment he tends to lose one on ones and won't compete for tough balls, has anyone else noticed this or am I crazy?

^^^^

He's no Usucar/Salley when it comes to committing to 50-50 balls.

Agreed sevengoals, what a little sook he is.

Get rid of the big softy then. I want players who actually want to be here and are proud to wear the AUFC jersey. And its obvious that many players in the current squad are just here for a pay day, hence the shit performances this season.

Why are people bagging him.
Statistically he has been one our most effective creative players, in a very poor side. Unless Flores is coming back or we have another creative player on the radar, we need to hang on to Dario.

Flores is the only player i'd swap him with...
I assume this is why we looked at hernandez..based on if Dario departed or not
bottom line, your'e a professional footballer, get used to being away from home..make the most of new things, like cassio, sergio etc. FFS you play a sport we love and get payed! soldiers get home sick but spend 90% of their career away from their home state and get payed pittance compared to footballers.
we must do what we can though to make him happy, he's a fantastic player

He's a good kid. But if there's nothing else to this then that's all he is, a kid.

I understand situations like Reidy's, there are valid reasons to become disinterested in playing for the club - and that was certainly one. But unless Dario is facing a similar situation - which under Kossie we can be sure he's not - then maybe it's best for all parties if he does go home.

He has far, far more to offer than what he's offered us - and I find that disheartening.

Exactly this.
Hes needs time just like Carle at Sydney, he is much more influential this season, and hes still in a rubbish team. So just give Vido some time, he'll come good.

It annoys me when he gets subbed and we might be down a goal and he walks off slowly like "meh i dont give a shit" .

I really cant say im the biggest fan of vidosic, but i dont dislike him.

Sounds like Kossie's way of needling players to see what reaction he gets, and then basing his assessment of their character on their response.

He made Teeboy travel from Adelaide to Bathurst via Sydney away from the squad, and then didn't even play him off the bench.

Now's he's publically calling out Dario. Hardly surprised, just hope we get the desired response.

Remember what happened last time our coach singled out a player in the after match press conference?

The player got injured or he scored?

What happened?
I can't see the Fox Sport interviews he does because I'm "geo-blocked".
(sounds like a deadly form of constipation :D )

At the end of the day, Dario is a required player.

Weither or not he will be come the deadline day is another story all together...

...but Griffen and co. know what they have to do. They've made mistakes in the past and I've heard they are ready to put things right Even if it does require opening the chequebook.
