Not Kossie.
Stubbins for mine.
Stubbins for mine.

Arsene Wenger
Re: nominations for new coach for next year
Simon Grayson is looking for a job ----just joking
Stubbins would be good but he's at the AIS, unless Coolen gets the job over him.
I've always reckoned that Mori would be a good choice, but I think he wants the Perth job.
Define NO's would be
Farina
Cullina
Merrick
and most definately Okon

Re: nominations for new coach for next year
Could be too late for Stubbins I reckon
Re: nominations for new coach for next year
think we need an experienced coach with a proven record now
Re: nominations for new coach for next year
Lawrie McKinna? Proven record in the A-League, good team mentality and discipline record, Mariners were always a hard team to beat under McKinna.

Re: nominations for new coach for next year
On serious note; there's really nobody in that list, other than Arnie, that could take the club to the next level in terms of performances, development and reinstalling a winning mentality at all levels of the club.
The lads upstairs have a really big job on their hands with this one, they need to learn from their mistakes with Rini but still be confident enough to install a manager with a long-term plan on a moderate-term contract.

But we should keep Kosmina and make him the director football.

Re: nominations for new coach for next year
Thats something that's being thrown around, and there's no doubt that Mick isn't right for the job, but I really don't think Kossie is either. But we should keep Kosmina and make him the director football.
Unfortunately if there's one thing that Kossie's return has reminded us is that he's incredibly stubborn and probably a little bit tactically behind.
The Football director's role requires more felxabilty and the ability to cement foundations and plans for the future, along with developing a
style of play and mentality.
Too many of these responsibilities have been placed in the hands of the coach in years past, simply because either or FD hasn't been up to the job or because there's not a good enough understanding of his role.
Hire a coach with Rini's experience in development and management (albeit one with people skills, leadership qualitys and a proven track record) call him a manager and do away with the FD role. Invest money into quality assistants and development coaches that can help the manager in his role.
Re: nominations for new coach for next year
No to Okon
He was just an ordinary player. ie looked good player in good sides, was not a leader just one there to make up the numbers.
As far a coaching, being an assistant to both Blieberg at GC and 2 i/c to Viddie with the Olyroos does not fill one with confidence looking at their performances.
With my Leeds shirt on: f#cking fat twat who was more interested in money than playing. Kept on playing cause he had a dodgy Risdale contract with Leeds that as long as he was playing he got paid. Retired on the day that contract with Leeds expired and left the Jets in the lurch, using the crap excuse about injury worries .
I'd have Coolen back before I'd let Okon near Hindmarsh
