Messy Messy Messy. If Rini is really like this, I think its time for change.``I thought that was one of our strengths last year with Marcos (Flores) Hughesy (Adam Hughes) and me,'' Reid said.
``Now that's one of the reasons why the team is doing so poorly.''

Re: Reid Unloads
Terrible management.
Reid wasn't a spectacular player but we could generally count on him to put in a solid performance and to my eyes I could never see any negativity until the time all this seemed to be happening.
Two huge issues here:
- To tell a player "there are better players than you", if true, is offensive and counter-productive to putting in good performances.
- To notify a player, without considering the fact he'd be ousting his mate, that he'd be captain next year BEFORE the season is out shows incredibly naivety and incompetence. It wasn't the time to do it.
Reid is right when he said midfield is our biggest problem this year. Too much pressure on our backs and not enough competence going forward. Hughes came good last year and broke down a lot of attacks. Reid had good passing and awareness. Flores, don't need to say anything. It was a well balanced mid. Where is our hard-tackling midfielder now? Caravella? No. Vidosic? No. Usucar? Almost, but perhaps not strong enough. Dilevski? No way.
Also, now we have one genuine winger in Ramsay, who is still developing, and a faltering midfield.
This is bad.

Re: Reid Unloads
If what Reid says is true then it's a disgrace.
He was always one of my favourite players. Tough, skillful and smart.

I don't think I've been this down about the club since the avalanche following that dreaded 6-0...
every little bit of information that is coming out lately is proving continuously that coolen is the worst man manager we have had. he needs to go, if only we still had stubbins to promote

Reid overrates himself more than some people here.
If he is so good then why hasn't another club snapped him up.
Get over it Reid.
Flores was the difference last year. Plain and simple.

Reid = sourgrapes.
He could at least have shown some class and not walked out on the club like he did.

Re: Reid Unloads
I wonder why he left it until now to spill his guts – waiting for the most opportune time to stick the knife in perhaps ?
Whilst I feel some sympathy for the bloke if all he says is true, his timing absolutely sucked and was a slap in the face for the fans. If he wasn’t happy why not just walk after the finals ? Plus the timing of this little publicity stunt is obviously designed to do as much damage to the club as possible, which once again impacts on the fans who once supported him.
Low act.

Re: Reid Unloads
I don't have any insider knowledge, but maybe its as simple as: 'he was asked'?
In terms of him doing it now, can't say I'm bothered. There seems to be a lot of purging of shit required for us to move on from where we are right now, so bring it on I say and let's start again.
As others have said on other threads, it seems to be AUFC's defining characteristic.
