I heard on 10 news tonight that Rini confirmed Malik and Barbiero will start this game (for Boogaard and Vidosic)... not sure if any other changes will be made though... hopefully Van Dijk and Levchenko are fit enough to be on the bench at least!

Very tough game, and i'll be quite surprised if we won this.
As said on the redcast, Malik LB and Susak CB please.
He scores with his left
He scores with his riiight
Marcelo Carrusca makes Flores look shite

These are young lads and we know what happens in this league to young talent.
No protection from the refs and thugging from so called star players.
Remember what happened to Burns, Djite (1st time with us) and Leckie.
ummm.... they bossed the league, then moved overseas??

honestly, if Teeboy is good enough, he's old enough. Having said that, I have no idea whether he's good enough - all I've seen of him is a few appearances in the u17 WC. But it may not be the worst idea to play someone so raw - sometimes chucking a young kid into the pressure of a competitive senior match doesn't work out, other times they can grab their chance and play out of their skin.

Oh, and like supsup said, da Silva is hardly a kid..
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

da Silva has been a full professional before coming to Australia, he ain't no raw youth.

If Teeboy is good enough then play him, he is after all one of the only actual wingers at our club.

Yes it's a very tight league, but doing maths and stats it's because one team is so far ahead, it distorts the picture- notice how MV and Sydney are on 11 points, 3rd and 4th, and if you do your calculations that's the mean tally or just above it. The evenness of all else beneath Brisbane makes it easier for United to be crap and still make the finals!

Brisbane's quality is irrelevant to the way Adelaide are currently playing, our ladder position, our ability to make the finals, and the likelihood that the Mariners will beat us tonight... (and scraping in to a 6-team final series would be a fairly hollow achievement anyway if we're playing like a bunch of homeless winos cobbled together into a scratch team)..

Nevertheless I think (hope) the team has something to prove and will come out with a better showing this evening
