Slory's urgent meeting with Rini?!

Postby Stuckey Mon Nov 21, 2011 8:01 am

DUTCH international Andy Slory has called an urgent meeting with Adelaide United coach Rini Coolen to discuss his playing future today.

Adelaide chairman Greg Griffin yesterday confirmed Slory was preparing to face Coolen and the Reds football department at the club's Hindmarsh offices.

Slory, with a history of voicing his opinion during his impressive 10-year career, is not expected to hold back at today's meeting.

Well this could be anything! Personally I would much rather see him come from this meeting ready to fight for his place. He is the fire and flair AUFC needs but he needs to be smart about it all.

C'mon Andy be the player we know you can be!!

If he walks, it's more evidence stacking up against Rini and his apparent bad player management.

I personally hope he doesn't, but would deep down understand if he did. I wouldn't want to live in or play for a city where i feel unwelcomed...

Tbf if slory walks then it is slorys fault, rini has to choose his side to his liking and players must do their talking on the pitch.

Have to question how and why this meeting made it to the media, because if slory stays then the meathead fans brigade will never acceot him and its all over.

If Slory walks out of the club because of a few boos, then so be it. It just shows how soft and uninterested he really is. Every player goes through some bad form at some point, you just need to be able to come out of it a better player.

Hughes was booed for almost a whole season, but then the next he was one of the best in the team.

If he walks then he should expect the same treatment as Reid.
We are UNITED, after all....

Get rid of him early before the finals if we make it.

Don't need pansies like him at the club.

Bring in a few kids like Ramsay who have the passion and have something to prove.

Slory - No loss
We know he's slow and now he's mouthy too.
I know he was playing top flight in Holland only a couple of years ago, what went wrong? Maybe his impression of his football abilities is bit different from actuallity.
Get the feeling where ever he goes there will be problems.
Maybe like a big dump - better out than in.

Slory is expected to ask for an early release from his contract which ends on April 30.

Coolen said he had spoken to the Suriname-born twice-capped Dutch international last Wednesday and Thursday before Slory called another meeting today.

So he wants to leave. Well this is very sad. I really hope Rini highlights that this is Australia and he can't drop much farther. For his sake I hope he is having some sort of family issue otherwise he is a complete unprofessional.
Well if he ever pulls an AUFC shirt on again the boo boys will certainly be out in force!

I still think he was made the scapegoat for an entire team of under performers by our fans. Like Hughes was. He wasn't playing well but who was?

I think he could have been good in a more stable set up but I guess that's that.

If he leaves, focus on the positives - room in the salaray cap AND another foreign visa spot.

I still think the main reason Slory has underperformed is because every time he starts going for a run or opens up huge space for himself in dangerous areas his team mates ignore him and don't feed him the ball.

I blame Slory's performances on the team and he has been made the scapegoat for an entire team of shit performances.
