I will clap him at the friendly (if he is there) but in a game for points? Not a chance.

I do like the idea of the chant for him though...

The simple chant of.....Who are ya!, who are ya! will be all he'll get out of me!

He will be in blue therefor he is now a tard and that is against my RED Religion to clap or cheer the "V"

Yes its a tough one. I love Harry and don't care how hard it was to get him here it was worth IMO. If i was there I would clap his first touch but as you say in the end he's in a Tards shirt and that does knock him down serveral pegs.
I don't understand the whole booing the best players in the league thing people do though. That IMO just reeks of jealousy sure if he f@#ks something up have a laugh, but booing someone for scoring an awesome goal is disgraceful and is the reason why I no longer go to Crows matches. I'm not saying don't get upset if Harry scores the winner and we go down 2-1 sure I'd be furious, but lying to yourself and not admitting you've seen something good is childish and UnAdelaide United.

I'll be calling him a crunt.

As should all of you, he's an embarrasment to Australian football, mercenary footballer No. 1.

The mercenary aspect - I'm guessing you're referring to is his going to melbourne and not sydney (or some far more cryptic reference of moving to Gala, a no no for an old peacock). Sydney would have been talking to Emo for months and months - I wouldn't be suprised if Harry and Emo were talking about this together, Emo expressed his want to go to Sydney, Harry was probably happy with Melbourne.

The reality is they are both taking MASSIVE pay cuts, in exchange for having the kids speak strine, good weather and the satisfaction of helping the game here develop.

That said; Harry Fucking Kewell will be copping so much shit from me that he'll need to scrape it off with steel wool.

Didn't you read his demands then?

He wasn't taking a pay cut from no club was he?

His agent ripped off Leeds United when he moved to Liverpool (this is well documentated) and the the little shit showed no respect to Leeds United (the club that brought him through as a junior) when he joined Galatasary (the club that refused to acknowledge, wear black arm bands or hold a minutes silence when two Leeds fans were murdered by two of theirs) Harry lead out the team that night surrounded by riot police.

Unforgivable.

Interesting comments from someone who has Paul Reid still listed as their "favourite Adelaide United player". Especially the term "mercenary footballer".

No chants for Harry. No cheering for Harry. In a Victory shirt, he is less than dirt to us.

what about Emerton then ?

A much more respected player than Harry I would've thought, and it's only Sydney - not Melbourne.

I don't see it that clear cut myself.

Harry, i too feel he can go fuck himself. I will show some slight gratitude for his return home, maybe will a first touch clap or if he is subbed off. But i personally feel he is somewhat taking advantage of the league for his own financial benefit.

Whereas when i look at Emerton, i feel he's coming home for better reasons - for more than personal benefits. He was still playing first flight English football (the holyiest of holy leagues as they say). Emo, it appears, wanted to come to the A-League. Emo did not have to come home, but when i look at Kewell, i can't help but feel it's all for his own benefit. He didn't have as many options as Emerton, as far as i know. Was Kewell getting offers from EPL sides?

Look how long Emerton was at Blackburn for - he's a club man, he's for the sport. A player who in my opinion deserves more credit for returning home than Harry. Emerton, as far as i'm aware but i was overseas, did all his dealings behind closed doors when signing for SFC, in a respectful manner. Harry's was all over the media, seemingly playing clubs off each other - although i admit that the media was always going to lap up his return and speculation would most likely of been rife anyway.

I guess my opinion being swayed or concreted will come down to how Harry handles himself once playing in the league, and how he treats the league and handles in the media. I am willing to eat my words.

In closing, yes i need more sleep, and yes, i will clap Dodd on his return to Hindmarsh :p
