More..A-League clubs where are you?
NOTHING seems to stand in the way of Cameroon international Calvin Mbarga earning an A-League contract except talent spotters' opinions.
After scoring his 14th goal in as many matches Mbarga has been one of the super revelations of the Super League after the burly striker scored two early goals in a 2-0 win for Western Strikers over White City.
His double in the quarter finals of the Federation Cup at Carnegie Reserve on Saturday is bound to keep scouts talking about his A-League potential.
Mbarga said he played for Cameroon at under 21 level before arriving n Australia with Adelaide-based wife Kim in the hope of snaring an A-League contract this year.

Re: Calvin Mbarga
How old is Mbarga? How long ago was he an U-21 international?
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Re: Calvin Mbarga
As far as I can tell (from Coolen's Corner and the friendly vs Galaxy) we have trialled Takumi Takahashi and Tom Maricic from Western Strikers, Luke Klimek from Croydon, Cristiano from White City, Mimi Saric from Adelaide Raiders, Michael Matricciani and Jackson Groves from MetroStars, Johnny Mavromatis from Playford City and Nicky Orr and Ricardo Da Silva from Adelaide City but not this guy.

Re: Calvin Mbarga
Has anyone seem him play? What kind of a striker is he? Tall strong CF or Fast winger? If he's a combo that doesn't seem to work in AU's system.

I've only seen him once, but he's very pacy, has good positional skills ( ie he's always in the right place @ right time ). Average height ( about 183 cm )Has anyone seem him play? What kind of a striker is he? Tall strong CF or Fast winger? If he's a combo that doesn't seem to work in AU's system.
