So apparently Rini is looking at him. I'm no expert on the dutch league so i have no idea he good he'll be. But i guess anyone who's played at that level for an extended period must be ok!Personal information

Re: Arjan Swinkels
i dont think its even worth speculating.
The club has indicated there are a couple of dutch defenders they have their mind on but wont be making any moves until the euro league arte finished so they know who is and isnt being offered new contracts, so it could be anyone really.
Its the same club cristiano came from i believe?
I like the fact he has stayed at one club for quite a long period of time and is still only 26. (as opposed to an over the hill journeyman that has a new club every year)

Yes its clear Rini isn't interested in anyone over the hill. The club has indicated there are a couple of dutch defenders they have their mind on but wont be making any moves until the euro league arte finished so they know who is and isnt being offered new contracts, so it could be anyone really.

Re: Arjan Swinkels
This season he have had 3 red cards, allright, 2 were not correct but the last one was because of a terrible tackle. And he only played for one team because he isn't good enough for the dutch top teams.
The one thing I think is a good quality is his mentality. He never gives up. Unfortunately that didn't help this season. They will finish last and will play a division lower next season.
Greetings from Holland
If you need more information from Dutch players, don't hestitate, I'm an expert;)

Re: Arjan Swinkels
Oh great WATR has a dutch correspondent now!
Sure he may not be good enough to sign for Ajax or PSV but i reckon Willem would be a huge step up from playing A-league. Sure we're improving but no where near that fast!
If you're not so keen on him do you have anyone else in mind? I'm very interested to hear from someone who watches a fair bit of the dutch league as i don't.

Be radical - join a club and play the game, that'll keep you busy over winter and give you a different perspective of the game.
If you can't play go along and watch a local team.

Josevp
What was your perception of both van dijk and cristiano before they left to play here? Van dijk i believe was only a second div player but has done really well, cristiano apparently played well for willem in first division but never really did to well here
Id be curious to hear what you think

Do you know much about Tyrone Loran? He's good in the Football Manager game, I was wondering if that translates in to real life? Would he be worth looking at signing?
