AUFC 2011/12 Errea Shirt prototype thread

Postby WINDSOR Fri Apr 08, 2011 7:50 pm

Hi All,

I read the new shirt news here in London and put together a potential shirt the mighty reds may wear in season 7.

I based this on the Errea Degas red shirt

My AUFC Errea shirts which I whipped up in 5 minutes or less. Surely the club could do better than what was displayed in the paper today.

Like them all however the first one really takes into account the south Aussie theme very well,

Nice efforts!
Anything other than plain red for the home shirt (with a tiny bit of blue and yellow trim) gets a thumbs down from me though.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

I'm finding less freedom to be creative with the Errea templates... :(

Here's a few more I knocked up:

Call me dull but i'm more a fan of the almost totally red shirts. I don't really like too much other colour, at least on the home shirt. I think if we have one colour its easy for the fans to dress accordingly and show support for the Reds!. Sure the away shirt could almost be any colour and design but i really think we need to stick with almost total RED!

Edit: Love the A-league badge on the sleeve!

I was experimenting with the templates to see what I could whip up with the state colours, but yeah, I also prefer almost total red with perhaps a touch of gold and/or blue trimming.

Donkey's first one, the image with the home and the away shirts - those designs are phenomenal.

Donkey, I like your 3rd red shirt, and the two whites aren't bad. I agree we should be as red as possible at home.

I'm not entirely in love with the curves and swirls Errea go for tbh. Keep it simple and strong I say.

The lines are pretty much all stitching and aren't that noticeable in the flesh.

The most annoying aspect of the Reebok kits was the two shirts being based on the same template. I also like charcoal, makes the red pop.

Personally the only variation i want to see on our all read strip is maybe some phantom/ghost stripes which gives a subtle but different look

would love something along this line for home kit, red shirt and blue shorts and yellow highlights would be tops imo.
