well i doubt they will spend their own cash to upgrade the states stadium.
However, who is to say in a time that the state are scrounging for cash for the AO redevelopment that selling Hindy may come up on the agenda?
I wonder how much Hindmarsh stadium is worth
most of AU's weekly sessions are at thebarton oval, dont think coaching staff would be too happy if we drove our cars of their practice pitch, however carparking at bonython park may not be out of the question..

Good news.
Having read the article it looks like we are putting down roots.
Obviously there is no fear in Adelaide regarding the future of the A-league!

They park their cars on the training areas at AAMI stadium.
Yeah its the only thing i can think of as far as the owners spending their own money on the stadium. That they eventually want to take over the stadium. Oh that will be a great day if AU could take ownership of Hindmarsh! No more BS stadium deals!

There is a fairly in depth paper on the interwebs which is all to do with the Hindmarsh stadium upgrade for the Olympics. It is interesting reading, especially the bits about how soccer will never need to have a stadium with a greater capacity than Hindmarsh - one of the reasons for the level of investment by the government (and it was tiny).

Re: New Corporate Facilities at Hindmarsh?
it would be fantastic if AUFC ever owned hindmarsh.
imagine the extra revenue that we would get! i wonder if the FFA would then hire the stadium from AUFC for finals games?

Re: New Corporate Facilities at Hindmarsh?
Without the club already making a suitable profit, I don't think purchasing the stadium is in the club's sights. The cost of purchasing and maintaining the stadium would far outweigh any possible profit for a long, long time.
I have a feeling they might look to make the club relatively self-sustaining enough that the club itself can afford to buy the stadium without any cash injection. But it would obviously be a while from now.
