But I still can't see (even with my man-love blinkers) Bruce and SVD playing too often together to start a match. I'm still expecting Rini's default lineup with two wingers with Bruce an option off the bench. Bruce will have his chances, but unless a 4-4-2 is the default formation they will be off the bench.

I tend to agree hammerzeit. I reckon Djite will be brought on to partner SvD when Rini wants to change things up during the course of a match, or else as a straight swap when Serg starts to tire.

Although, I saw a snippet of an interview with Bruce where he reckons he was used in a few different positions in Turkey (or was it China?) and has added a couple more strings to his bow. Maybe he has the ability to play as a genuine winger?

Thats one thing I'm excited about. Was it just me or did McKay really come on as a player after he did a stint in the CSL? Hopefully Brucey is better for his run in China!

It'd be like having Jonah Lomu out wide. Rather long string in massive bow, but it worked because he always played as a winger/back rower. Not saying it wouldn't work for Bruce or he hasn't got the talent, but it might be a bit much to expect it to work consistently from the start... Hence my thoughts see SVD starting alone unless a 442 is employed.

So where would Levchenko fit in? I have no idea how he'll be used! Rini talks about him like more of a DM then a defender.

There are so many guys that we do not know enough about to have a clear idea of what rinis line up may be.

Judging by rinis comments on levchenko, id say he may be our new paul reid and will pair up with usucar, much the same as reid and hughes.

It seems clear that caravella will fill the number ten role with slory and vidosic either side.

Djite and van dijk to battle it out for that one spot up front.

Its almost pointless posting a formation for our squad as it is so versatile, so im expecting to actually see more then just a 451 this year....although even last year we played as a 442 often with flores next to vandijk

Hopefully bira gets some chances this year also.

Malik, barbiero, watson, ramsay, could walk into almost any other starting 11....crazy...

I can't see us playing 2 holding midfielders though without a Flores type player. Even if Caravella was going to play AM (which I'm not convinced about personally) the defensive side of his game is sufficient that we can do with 1.

I'd like to see him playing along side McKain as a left sided stopper.
