30 more weeks until the season starts...
Rini's season review has boosted my excitement for next season. Unfortunately I'm a very impatient person and these kinds of waits just kills me inside.
I was thinking of following the MLS season but ESPN's coverage of football is terrible IMO whether it be MLS, La Liga, Champions League or Europa League.

If you've ever been lucky to experience a kick-ass away trip - multiply it by 10.
Asian Trips are ridiculous. So many memories. Recommend it to anyone.

Def keen for an Asian away trip sometime, but I'll save it for ACL I think. Tough to get pumped about pre-season games.

In all honesty i would love to see us play Gamba in some friendlies! I'm sure they wouldn't mind re-living their ACL win! Maybe strike up a bit of a relationship between the clubs? Talk Endo into coming here soon?
Also i would think Gala with Harry and Lucas in their squad would receive a good turn out. Or maybe a Greek or Italian side to cater to some of our ethnic groups?

Barca B would be good enough for me if we can't afford the main squad.

Re: Next season
Right, and the time they do have off mid-season (end of June - last week of July) they have the League Cup quarter-finals and the National Team are off to Argentina to take part in the Copa America.Japanese teams are in season during our off season. In all honesty i would love to see us play Gamba in some friendlies! It's going to cost a lot to host a club side in Adelaide. It's usually a lot more than it costs for a National Team (if the reported figures for Serbia/Brazil are correct) as those sides don't get paid to represent their country, so you're only paying for flights/accommodation. To host a club side, though, you'd need to be paying at least a portion of player salaries, if not their game bonuses, making it all a massive operation. This is why the State Governments have always chipped in when they'd hosted Celtic/Fulham/LA Galaxy/whoever else. We'd need to convince the SA Government to do the same. The club consortium won't have money to do that (not justifying the little return they'd get, while the state gets the majority of profit).

Aye, could be some long hard years between now and then. Will make it all the more sweeter when we're back where we belong though
