Another Red heading to Korea?

Postby Kaxxp Sun Mar 06, 2011 11:18 pm

Heard some whispers on twitter that another of our reds are heading over to Korea?

Also found Scott Jamieson had tweeted the following after the Johnny Warren medal tonight.
Congratulations Marcos . Unlucky to Adelaide , another player leaving . Gooodluck to My dog , he's gonna kill it in Korea !!!
He did say it wasn't Marcos which I though he was referring to at first and that it will all come out in next few days.

Interesting news and although we may loose another player I'm happy to know that a lot of Asian clubs are still looking at AUFC for quality players. This attention we get can only enhance our ability to attract good players which we could possible sell on. (fingers crossed Rojas)

Any guesses as who may be on their way? My guess is Flakes has being picked up as his being sniffing around in Asia for a while from what Ive heard.

he's gonna kill it in Korea !!!
Assuming it's cornflakes, he's not wrong there. His detractors will soon realise there was a reason Asian directors always cut to a shot of Cornthwaite and Fyfe/Ognenovski jogging forward for corners and set pieces during ACL matches.

its reasonable to assume it is Cornthwaite... As Scott Jamieson often refers to Cornthwaite as corn dog in his tweets...

he has at least 2 more years on his deal at AU so a decent fee would demanded i'm sure. I'd be surprised if it was anything less then $250,000.

Losing Cornthwaite on top of Fyfe is a big loss. You should re watch all the games he has played to see all the well timed tackles, crucial blocks etc. He is an out and out CB, he is never going to be known for silky skills or anything like that but he will play his heart out and put his body on the line over and over again to give his team the best chance it can of winning. I sincerely hope he gets a move to Korea and can emulate the Og Monster in some small way.

Plus when he gifts the other team a goal he generally scores one back. :p
