ADELAIDE United's week from hell hit rock bottom yesterday.

The Football Federation of Australia has demanded that Adelaide explain why Sunday's final was marred by unruly fans and damage done to the Hindmarsh Stadium changerooms.

Adelaide fans exploded late in the game, throwing a plastic bottle at Gold Coast's Dino Djulbic, after which he was hit by a plastic cup full of beer as he was escorted off the pitch by officials.

Even the visiting coach, Miron Bleiberg, and his bench were showered with plastic bottles.

Shithouse behaviour to be honest. Sick of reading on here how bad Melbourne Victory supporters are when I see shit like this.

Disgusting. Embarrassed.

What was annoying was that some offenders were being pointed out to Police & Security but they didn't seem keen to wade through the crowd to get to them so some got away scot free.

don't we pay rent to the State Government for Hindmarsh? can't see it being FFA business if the change rooms need a fix up. as tenants, we'll take care of that.

the behaviour of those few in the crowd though, as mentioned, is horrible. emotions were running high, but that's just bad sportsmanship and not on. they deserve punishment.

was good to see Dodd telling North Enders it's not on as Dino was down, and Cass doing the same to the Snake Pit when the beers were flying.

Dino being escorted? It would have been quicker if Beath gave that a-hole a piggy back. I don't like seeing crowds throw shit but he deserved every word of abuse he copped. Play dodgie and be prepared to cop it.

a mate was saying that in the post match interview Bruce said how disappointed he was that he was boo'd. seeing as AU is a club he looks at fondly and highly respects. but i don't think Bruce was boo'd for being Bruce, he was boo'd for jogging on the spot (and walking) when coming off! took him like a solid minute!

Perhaps for that moment Djite had some sort of relapse and thought he was wearing a Red shirt?

A decent crowd could possibly have caused this reminiscence :D
Shano. Red to the core.

The fans were absolutely disgusting, no ifs or buts about it. It was THE definition of poor sportsmanship. We lost, they were better, get the Hell over it.

No player should have to expect to dodge projectiles. If someone threw something at Flores, Cassio or any one of our players, this forum would be entirely up in arms about it and want suspensions thrown around like they were going out of fashion. But no, because it was our fans throwing things at ourr opposition, is it suddenly fine? Of course is bleeping isn't. Get a damn life and wisen up to reality.

And sure, boo a player if while they're on the field if you think they should be running off the pitch rather than walking, but don't flipping continue to boo a club legend after the game, during an interview. That's not only disgraceful to the player, but to our own club's history.

What I said in an earlier thread about being proud of our supporters, I'm readily taking back. Despite it having only been a very small percentage on the day, it's outrageous, and to think that there are people on this forum trying to JUSTIFY their acts is offensive to those who have any sort of self-respect and a love to the club.

Totally agree with all

Bruce even chose not to celebrate his goal as a mark of respect to the club, i can understand getting into him a little but i felt for the guy during his interview.

If this is going to be a problem they need to extend the to cover the whole north end, you cant get any distance when you have to throw so high just to get it over the net. easily fixed:)

Although it has to be said, i would totally support fines or a yellow card when a player is all but making a mockery of the game.
Djulbic soaked up the clock, and needed 2 people to help him off the field, he then runs back on and his next touch is a clearing header.... you cant blame the fans for being angry.... still... dont throw shit its simple!!

Agree 100%. Throwing shit is not on, in any circumstance (though I did hurl my hat at the ground when Boogaard gave away that pen). And respect to Bruce for not celebrating his goal.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

I was most pissed off with who got sold by the most obvious dummy in the world, prior to the penalty - as soon as there was contact in the box, my head dropped and it has been there ever since.

Our fans are some of the most pathetic, worst behaved, spoilt brats I have ever witnessed.
Slowing the game down, or time wasting is all part of football - shit, we may have even done it sometimes.
I dont like it, but I also dont throw shit on the field.
Its about time we started booing our own fans and not the people on the pitch!!!!!!!!

MY 2 BOBS WORTH:
They where obviously bandwagoners.
The kind that go to One Day international cricket and punch-on. Just feral fuckers that properly have never watched a game of football in there life.
And how come there is never any weslo in the snakepit?

i dont think we can blame it on the bandwagoners this time.

Last acl, fans became very sick of players playing dead at hindmarsh, bottles were thrown, the same happened against gold coast.

Need to cop this one on the chin me thinks
