So it's finals time. A look at the form guide for Adelaide United does not really make good reading- half of the 50 points for the season were won in the first third, and form has been decidedly average over two-thirds of the season, punctured mainly by two excellent wins over Melbourne Victory and that record-breaker against NQ Fury.

But United are guaranteed two home finals in this series, the second of which is on the provision that they win tomorrow night. And really that ought to be the case, even though Wellington Phoenix picked up their only away win of the season in Adelaide.
