FFSA gone mad?

Postby Spiro Fri Feb 04, 2011 10:46 am

Friends, i find it completely incomprehensible that FFSA continually fixtures matches that clash with Adelaide United matches.

The Carlsberg Cup second round and third round have many matches around both the Welly and Tard games.

What is with this? How can we promote AUFC to juniors and future stars when they can't come to matches.

FFSA, you are a joke of an organisation.

Also the FFA schedule matches that clash with FFSA, so it is a bit of tit for tat from the seems of it. Overall a stupid attitude.

The SANFL always move their matches if they clash with AFL games. I think the FFSA need to realise their place in the world.

BINGO!!!!! Your dead right!

Its petty and stupid but over time this will change as old soccer becomes just a memory and young fans are drawn to the a-league!

I don't want to become "just a memory".

VICTORIA'S suburban and country clubs will have a chance of a showdown with the A-League's Melbourne Victory and Melbourne Heart after the Mirabella Cup was announced this week.

How hard would it be for the FFSA to set up a comp like this?
They already have a pre-season comp why not include AU in it at somehow. The more often they expose AU to the federation clubs the better IMO

I followed footballnews a few years back and there were often rumblings about how they had little regard for us. Apparently it was Bob D'Ottavi's baby and he was hostile towards AU. It’s a shame really we all play the same game, hopefully our new owners can sort it out, but if they are uncooperative there's little we can do about it. What's happened isn't a great sign that things will change.

The reds have opened the game up to many more people now the FFSA needs to help and capitalise on that, rather than be self-centred or even work against us.
