COOPERS!!! On the shirt!- The wish comes true!

ICONIC South Australian company Coopers Brewery is Adelaide United's new major sponsor.

The A-League club and the brewer have signed off on a deal, believed to be worth about $200,000, for the last nine matches of the season.

The Coopers brand will make its debut tomorrow night when Adelaide hosts Melbourne Heart at Hindmarsh Stadium.

But there will be no Coopers beer flowing in celebration at the stadium because rival brewer Lion Nathan holds the brewery contract.

Coopers chairman and marketing executive Glenn Cooper said he hoped to eventually supply the product at the Reds' home.

"The stadium is currently under contract with an opposition brewery," he said. "But that brewery contract comes up next year before the next A-League season starts."
