Apparently there were scouts from Korea Republic watching Cornthwaite at the NQF game too...

Good luck to him.

yes and also Indonesian clubs are looking at van dijk ,

both are under long contracts so it would be the clubs decision

Would not have a problem with either or both of them being sold during the transfer window, though if SVD is sold then we need to have signed up 2 new strikers - unless Monty can step up as a centre forward...

They are playing their cards close to their chests - one of the things AUFC needs to improve is the level of information flowing out to members of the club. Contract negotiations are a bit tricky though as they are a matter that can have major on field consequences.

I agree i think the club should make more of an effort to get have the members (the people who's love for the club is undeniable) get the announcements first.

Text message, email, social networking, AUFC website the options are endless really.

Would hate for SvD to go anywhere, the guys a gun and is pivitol to our success. If we got money for Corny it would be ok.

This.

I don't really think the Indonesian Premier League is a real threat to us though. Surely SVD would rather play here?

Apperently according to a Val article the other day, the Indonesian league is new and is planning to become one of the big leagues in Asia. They are building a comp in the same style as the MLS and have clubs being owned by indo mining millionares. They are having a limit on imports similar the the HAL. I would imagine now that SvD has his indo passport that he would be valuable as he would classify as a local.
Supposedly they are negotiating a big TV deal for the comp to help fund it, and with a country of 270 million people if it takes off it could be a major player in the Asian region.

I thought Serg decided against getting his Indonesian passport because they would have forced him to forfeit his Dutch one?

The whole SVD playing for the Indonesian NT has gone a bit quite as well. What is Indonesia's stance on dual citizenship anyway?

He turned it down because he would have had to forfeit his Dutch citizenship.

AFAIK Indonesian nationals can only hold a dual passport until the age of 21.
