And the ACL successes. It's nice to have that, sure. But don't look too much into the ACL- many clubs don't take it seriously, it's not the same as the European CL or other cup competitions, and frankly nowhere near as difficult to succeed in.
It's a daft comparison because the level of competitors is lower so it's all relative. Based on your logic, the A-League is not the same as La Liga or other league competitions, and frankly nowhere near as difficult to succeed in.

Perhaps we shouldn't look too much into any domestic success either?

RE: more Away games than Home games v MV

I was sure we alternated home games with each team over a 2 year period, ie:
Season 1 = 2 home, 1 away
Season 2 = 1 home, 2 away

This is how it started off at least didn't it?
I suppose things may have been complicated by the addition of new teams, but it shouldn't be too hard to keep it relatively even, should it?

It is irrelevant if other clubs don't take it seriously - we have done so and we need to continue to do so. The ACL is the highest level of competition our clubs can compete in within the AFC and as such demands that we respect it, it is still a young competition and as such is still evolving
very well put. To ignore the ACL is to declare your club has no ambition and can't mix it with the confederation's best. Such low ambition is fine for other clubs, but it is not good enough for us B)

Here, here! It's only the other Australian clubs which don't take it seriously. The clubs from Japan and Korea are as hungry as we are to take out the silverware in the ACL. China, you'd think they do too... but I'm not too sure. :p
