Hugene is already a marquee player.
i think you mean Eugene should be a marquee player

i totally agree. has been our most outstanding player for seasons. has saved (cough) our bacon so many times it's not funny. a great goal stopper. he's another player i do want to see travel overseas and reach his full potentual though.
Has more international caps than Ricardinho will ever have. Is probably more deserving of the status than Sterjovski too

i see no problem with bumping our 2 highest earners up to marquee status to make a bit of room, it may already be done we just wouldnt know, but if it free's some room in the cap and its within the rules then no problem.

A good reason to keep Flores in this league is that we can say there's players in our league who are better than Gerrard.

There you have it. First "better than Gerrard" post on this forum :D

I am 100% positive that Hugene is our Australian marquee, I could be wrong but am sure I'm not.

I don't understand how Ricardinho is their marquee, I thought they had to have a senior international cap in order to qualify - or have they relaxed that rule?

I'm almost certain Galekovic is not our Australian marquee. In fact the rule only came in at the beginning of this season and Galekovic was already part way through a 4 year contract by then. I highly doubt the FFA (our owners at the time) would have renegotiated his contract.

i he is our aussie marquee, when he re-signed we were under FFA rule, and supposedly only using the minimum 85% salary cap for this season, so i am not sure why they would even bother listing a marquee when we are already well below the cap

well, unless you have connections inside the club Ashnak, i'm not sure where u got that from?? nothing has ever been announced publicly, to my knowledge, that Eug was made marquee. as mentioned above, FFA owned us, and i can't see them forking out unnecessary cash to pay a player more money who has no intentions on leaving...

Hey! Calm down - I said I could be wrong, but I am sure I am not. From recolection he was made Aus marquee to move him outside the salary cap in order to look at SVD whom we could not afford under the salary cap along with Hugene.
