Can anyone shed some light on this video of rival supporters after the game.
After the initial chanting it seems the victory fans were pretty much looking for a fight , specially by the way they all bailed the moment they heard a siren.
I wasnt there so i can only speculate but that kind of thing is so unfortunate, WATR's try to use marches as a way to attract interest, these melb fans seem to look for a fight .
top form to adelaide ppl who didnt take the bait
Why would you be a fan of MV?

firstly, well in to the Vic Police. they handled a difficult situation well imo. at 1st they seemed out of their league and lost on wat to do early on, but as far as i am aware it all worked out safely. one copper even put a scarf on and had a bit of a laugh with us during the 'after the match march'.
i watched that video earlier, and myself and my mates left the group literally 45 seconds before that kicked off, thus can't fully explain the situation after i left. but i do know that by that point, our on foot escorts had left but a few vans (one of which seems to quickly end the bullshit in the vid) continued to follow majority of the group. a wise idea.
the group i saw in the vid, was the same grouped that police held back and seemingly dispanded way back at the ground (MV scarves covering faces and all mind you). it seems they ran following the group, with bad intentions in mind, which is disapointing. but i want to highlight that it appears to be the same small group as earlier, so it seemed it was only a small minority that was causing issues to me. all youngs kids too, 14 to 20 years of age roughly.
i had a brief chat during the walk back with a MV supporter, just to highlight that the hostility was not coming from all.
but yes, absolutely great stuff from our fans, i personally didn't see any of our supporters getting heavily involved in threats of violence against MV fans the whole time. we just wanted to celebrate! (and get somewhere safe lol)

Ah yep, the usual. There's always a handful of dickheads on both sides.

I am guessing that is the video.
Makes me cringe, the pathetic little Melbourne wieners, look at them all run when the police turn up. Bloody pathetic.
Been watching Green Street Hooligans too many times.

i swear i posted a lnik to the video in my post, oops lol
yeah i do have to agree with you its generally only a small in regards to any kind of trouble.
At the last grandfinal i had good conversations with alot of victory fans before and after the game.
Its a real shame about those kids though, in 5 years time we will all be paying for their unemployment benifits grr lol
