Re: Who's signed for next season
Well with what now must be a huge amount left in the cap plus a record transfer fee there is more chance then ever of a marquee aussie signing plus another wide player.

Re: Who's signed for next season
If it is as big a fee as said you'd guess AU would get at least half that so at least $600k, I hope a decent chunk of that is invested back into the football department.Well with what now must be a huge amount left in the cap plus a record transfer fee there is more chance then ever of a marquee aussie signing plus another wide player.
I recall a long time ago at an AU members meeting I think it was Glenn Elliot saying that any money from transfer fees will be invested back into the football department. Hopefully that's still the case.
Time to Djbate!

Great news for the Awer and the club however I can assure you a large portion (probably all) will go into paying bills!

Yeah absolutely, but lets hope some money finds its way into the squadIf it is as big a fee as said you'd guess AU would get at least half that so at least $600k, I hope a decent chunk of that is invested back into the football department.Well with what now must be a huge amount left in the cap plus a record transfer fee there is more chance then ever of a marquee aussie signing plus another wide player.

On the plus side, this allows Pablo Sanchez to be a regular in the starting eleven, like he should be. Too good to be sitting on the bench. Best of luck to Mabil, maybe in a couple years he can get a contract with a holy trinity club!
we da best

Re: Who's signed for next season
Definitely would be a very good option. There is also cheaper options in Rukavytsya and Duganzic around.IMO this move makes me want Super Dario back now.
Looking at the squad now it is
GK: Galekovic, Hall
CB: Malik, McGowan, La Rocca, Elsey, Warland
FB: Elrich, Marrone, Ochieng, (Goodwin)
DM/CM/AM: Isaias, Jeggo, Carrusca, Mells
W: Cirio, Goodwin, Kamau, Smith (Pablo Sanchez)
ST: Djite, Pablo Sanchez.
As far I know Konstandopoulos is only on a youth contract.
There is definitely 3 places, and maybe 6 places, empty in the squad.
Vidosic, Bozanic and Juric would make this squad brilliant, but I doubt we will sign any of them.

Pablo Sanchez should be in the starting XI as the striker in the squad as it stands. On the plus side, this allows Pablo Sanchez to be a regular in the starting eleven, like he should be. Too good to be sitting on the bench. Best of luck to Mabil, maybe in a couple years he can get a contract with a holy trinity club!
The best side now I believe is,
Galekovic
Elrich - Malik - La Rocca - Goodwin
Isaias
Jeggo - Carrusca
Kamau - Pablo - Cirio
Bench:
Hall
McGowan
Mells
Marrone
Djite
Others
Ochieng
Warland
Elsey
Smith

Val's reporting it is now unlikely Mabil will get any gametime tonight as he flies out tomorrow. It's a bit of a shame he misses out, i hope the club announce his leaving so he gets a good send off from the crowd.

I think its just the latest catch phrase on 442 that all the kool kids keep saying, persinally dont have a clue lol. What's this holy trinity club thing? On the plus side, this allows Pablo Sanchez to be a regular in the starting eleven, like he should be. Imo mabile is leaving adelaide with more talent and potential then our other wide exports ( burns and leckie )
Leckie and burns were more dominant in a league that was still not up to standard and leckie was all muscle and brawn.
I think mabil has what it takes if he has the right people around him to keep him grounded.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I agree. The club haven't been great at acknowledging leaving players lately so hopefully it happens tonight.Val's reporting it is now unlikely Mabil will get any gametime tonight as he flies out tomorrow. It's a bit of a shame he misses out, i hope the club announce his leaving so he gets a good send off from the crowd.
Although technically its a Liverpool home game so maybe it won't happen.

Doubt Mabil will get a send off. This game is fully to promote Liverpool.
We look very light on in the front third now...
