Who's signed for next season
Anything official from the club yet? Negotiations must have gone south.
With Ozzie and Boogs at CB and Marrone, Elsey and Elrich as fullbacks, we'd probably only need one more defender I'd say.

They will probably be going to Europe but Sprianovic or Traore would be a fantastic signing, (presuming Traore counts as an Aussie.)
Otherwise what other Australian defenders are available that have the technical ability Josep would like?
(PS. I'm still praying Cassio comes back to full fitness.)

Can't see it happening but I would love to get Luke Devere. Has fallen off the radar a bit lately in Korea.

McKain, going, going, gone?
http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/foo ... 6920549218“Disappointed to be leaving Adelaide United. Hoped and wanted to stay but not to be. A new adventure awaits somewhere,” McKain tweeted.
" There was, he added, no room for spin, showmanship, hubris or “any of the feelings of invincibility” that so often shackle nations with an imperial past ... " - - -

Re: Who's signed for next season
So the club refuses to make it official and claim we are still negotiating, the article then goes on to say Mckain joins Bowles and Barker-Daish as confirmed departures ........ am i missing something ?
Personally i think the club is waiting for a new CB signing before they admit it.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I think Jon's become frustrated that AU aren't increasing his salary to where he wants it. Around a 50% pay cut by some reports.
He's now vented on twitter before negotiations have ceased in AU's eyes.
I think AU really want him to stay, just not for what he was on before. Which I've heard was a lot of coin.

Be pissed off if he goes, thought the combo of Malik and Jon was our best CB combo.

Still nothing official from the club. I think this has a bit to play.

To be fair, he has three children to support; that isn't ever cheap.
I sent him a message over FB and he replied. He 'would have loved to stay but these things happen'.

I think a lot of people with three kids would be earning less than him and getting by.
Still, I can understand his position. He's just been offered a massive pay cut for doing exactly the same thing he's been doing for the past three years.

Those people probably have a career that will last more than a dozen years though!I think a lot of people with three kids would be earning less than him and getting by.

It might be a principal thing.
"Why should I stay here for half the money if I'm doing the same thing? What will my paycut be next time?"
Have to draw the line somewhere I guess.

Re: Who's signed for next season
It is possibly an indication how lop sided our wages have been as a result of the coolen / kosmina era.
Imo we will lose an import in favour of a big signing considering the pay cut chelo took and mckain leaving, im betting jeronimo as he does not really fit into any role directly
