A point was more than we deserved. How we kept a clean sheet is amazing but credit to Hall who was very good tonight. Can't say the same about our defence though.
Cirio was good as was Jeggo, but the attacking third already looks to be a major problem for us, especially finishing. Our attack broke down so many times and we didn't create enough chances compared to Melbourne.
A lot to work on and a point is a good result.

Well I would have definitely taken a draw.
Lots of areas for improvement though.

Haha, what a joke. When will they ever learn that playing at AO won't bring the big crowds? Astonishing.19k at AO.
Never again.

The membership f&*k up would have certainly hurt numbers. But I think its revealed that the AO experiment is beginning to fail.Haha, what a joke. When will they ever learn that playing at AO won't bring the big crowds? Astonishing.19k at AO.

1st game of the season was never going to work at AO, needs to be some momentum for the game. Problem is, the FFA only ever give us one MV home game a year.Haha, what a joke. When will they ever learn that playing at AO won't bring the big crowds? Astonishing.19k at AO.
Never again.

Happy with the point. Was certain we would lose. No euge and tarek and larocca. First game at a neutral venue. Mvfc way over the salary cap. They missed a few good chances.

Incidentally was anyone else thinking "bring on Kamau" and then remembering that he was injured? It was a game that needed an injection of sparkle out wide (we looked ok centrally).
