We dont need a playmaker, we have vidosic who would be one of the top playmakers in the league easily, he just isnt inform atm...but who is?
We're definitely lacking creativity in the midfield though. Vidosic for me is versatile enough to play in behind a lone striker or out wide if we got a deep lying playmaker in.
Im with you on that now,

Vidosic may be better playing in a position where he will not recieve so much attention from defenders when there is no clear pass or run for him.

He could play on the wing and make runs inside.

Maybe we should be looking to asia for a creative mid? This myth that that k-league and j-league players will get pushed off the ball easy is not right, i remember last time pohang came to town they had some very very big boys.

An asian AM would allow us a +1 also in acl qualifiers which will be
handy , problem is though we probably couldnt compete money wise

we need a decent CM/DM that can play the ball out from the back, for me thats been our biggest problem this year, i have faith in vido to pull off the deft touches that flores was able to do, but the Dilevski/Levchenko/Caravella combo just isnt doing it for me, although i missed the newy game

Rini hinted at a few signings to fill the squad hopefully even before January. Id say promote a Youth player.

Won't Serg be our Asian +1?
But I do agree about an Asian AM. I think it would also give us a little more crediblity in the ACL if we had a highly respected AM from the K or J league. Also someone to capture all the Asian students we have living in SA AUFC has yet to capitalise on.

There will be no replacement for Slory. We have spent enough on players atm.
So youth development it is!

That doesn't really make any sense though. We won't have to pay out Slory's contract as he's retired so there's a whole heap there we haven't spent. And judging by Kosmina's article yesterday that's A LOT.

Maybe they're saving the dosh to pay out Rini's contract...
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

IMO we need a goal threat from the right, whether that be a right winger, right wide forward, right wingback or AM that makes deep runs to the right.
He scores with his left
He scores with his riiight
Marcelo Carrusca makes Flores look shite

Id say someone like that would most likely go to brisbane as a plus 1 , the bakrie family have money to burn come acl time
