if Dodd goes Porter would be an ideal experianced replacement, i think he's a quality player who can play wide, upfront or through the middle.

At the recent FFSA meeting the owners, or somebody representing the owners (2nd hand information, I know the chairmen of one of the clubs who was present at the meeting) said that Adelaide United's aim over the next few seasons is to turn around the club financially. We can't afford to keep Dodd so I think the chances of us luring away high-profile players from other clubs on an obviously tight budget is unlikely.

That anecdote sounds entirely apocryphal, but it would be lunacy to do anything else.
