Not sure where he is gonna fit in tbh, he plays predominantly LM and we have decent cover there with Pants and Ramesy.
That's how he is going to fit in.

They just announced on the AU website 'Ozzie' Malik has signed for Adelaide United.
He'll play for NQF for the rest of the season before joining us.

Pants to retire? :P

i have been incredibly harsh on Pants for years now, but i must acknowledge his service to the club and he's had a great year this season. personally, i still think Pants is pivital on the left as Ramsay doesn't seem quite ready to start on the pitch. Malik to play for the Youf until his time to slot in comes?

I would say no. Pants is only 28 and he has another year on his contract i'm sure.

I was disappointed Rambo didn't take the opportunity of starting on Sunday but i can definately see him starting over Pants by the end of the year if he keeps his general form up.

It will be interesting to see where Ozzie lines up.

IMO Pantelis' form has dipped since Leckie's injury. Probably because opposition teams only need to double team one player now & not 2.

That's how I keep the Pantelis hate strong anyway

i think his return is a good thing, I also agree if he takes a LM role - it might be time for Pants to either look elsewhere or take up a role from the bench, as im sure ramsey will be a starter over pants by next season.

I'm happy about this, he's a good player, the more good players we have the better :).

Rini must think he's a player that can develop and fit into the club he's trying to build.

That's enough for me.

Pantelis is much more aware of those around him then ramsay, its what Pantelis does when he doesnt have the ball that for now makes him a better option.

Its great for a young adelaide boy to come back here, and its great that Rini clearly is not all talk in wanting to build a squad for the future full of young emerging talent.

For NQF to lose both Payne and Malik, both very promising 20 year olds in the same day is absolutely horrid that the FFA can let this happen. I feel both of these guys are maybe a season away from really starting to show their talent, what a loss for them!

how long did we sign him? im sure we signed him up for minimal money so i hope its maybe a 3 year deal so if he does show some good improvment we can profit

Shin, you are right. Ramseys runs are waaaay too easily telegraphed. You watch Pantelis, he makes runs inside and out and is willing to interchange with dodd/Leckie. Ramsey hasnt figured that out yet, but he will. Takes time.

Ramseys best runs come from deep, where he out sprints a full back that has over run him. Cant exactly rely on that for 90 minutes.
