<insert weary sigh>

Just proves that money talks. The filth have very deep pockets and can buy success, which is exactly what Sadney has done for the past decade.

As long as noone from SA ever speaks to Izzo again and has nothing to do with him, let him enjoy his filth paycheques.

Who's the MV goalkeeping coach again ???...
...actually, it doesn't matter. The point is It's not Eugene.

Gauci to beat Izzo to the plane to Qatar

I'm not sure Izzo had a heap of options, controversial but he wouldn't be first choice here so I don't begrudge him tbh.

Gauci won't go to Qatar whilst Arnie is in charge, but he'd be ahead of Izzo in my pecking order.

is the national youth league concept dead?

I see they changed the name to “A-League Youth” under the rebrand; apart from that, it seems nothing has been publicly stated about its existence, since the 2019–2020 season

did they kill it with covid and then hope no one would notice when it didn’t return?
I think they intend on bringing it back at some point.
I did see an article for a little while ago saying the game is investing heavily into development in the future. I would love to see the youth league fixture follow the ALMs fixture and be more of a reserves league.

Gauci a much better prospect than Izzo.

Would have personally been disappointed if we'd signed him.

Wish him all the best.

Unless the new owners drastically change the club's direction. I think bringing Izzo back while they have Gauci and Delianov is a luxury they can't afford. I hope the club can bring back someone the level of Izzo's experience in a more advanced role. I still think needs more in the way of chance creation. I hope Clough can step up more next season for that role but hopefully that is where the club can invest more in.
IMO the club gained too many points last season purely from the goals/chances Goody created.

Good luck to him.
He has the potential but needs to improve his decision making.

That'll certainly be an eye opener after being at Brentford. Hope he fairs better than George did in the brutal surrounds of the English basement.

AU teasing on Twitter with a video of what looks like Goody walking through a door.

Signing announcement must be imminent.
