Ok Team. I ran about 13km cross country this morning, quick shower and then beers with mates at a bar watching the Reds-Jets game. Still only 3:30pm here however I can hear the hammock calling me...... "Blah Blaaah, Blah Blaaaaaaaaaaah".

Have fun

Zanzibar, Bruce scored against CCM at start of December. Not quite 18 games...

Surely kosta can have a rest next week, hopefully Carrusca hasn't injured himself badly. Poor changes from Kossie I thought.

geez second half was average.....bruce needs to go, offers nothing and as the commentator said has only scored one goal in 18 games.
on positive note eugene is gold and cassio's tackles were perfect.
Please please let bruce sit on the bench next week and come on as an impact player with his pace and harrasment of defenders, just can't score.

Who would you replace him with?
I felt he looked very dangerous today. If AU could get just one player to offer him some decent service and play him the ball early he would be on the scoresheet for more often. IMO Bruce is not the issue.
Kosto has shown he can cut it at this level its just only 1 every 4 games it appears. Zen even showed more promise on the right and he's clearly never played there before!
I think Jero on the right could have been a better option or Dario there and then Barbs in the middle or Jero playing off Bruce.
In the end its a point on the road so we should be happy about that.

Anyone doubting bruce needs to watch the games a little closer and look beyond the goals to games ratio

So much play leading up to our goals could have easily been broken if serg was in the role as djite has been fantastic in holding the ball up. Not to mention his defensive work rate which helps catch teams out on the counter.

But hey lets just focus on one rigid stat

i give up, i'm just going to agree, bruce is a champ cos he runs around. theres no doubt you're all sold on him being the striker we need for the next few years, but when you say a striker doesn't need to score it's like saying a defender doesn't need to stop his man from scoring.

No one is saying his finishing does not need to improve. But he is best suited for this role then any in the squad

Bruce didn't offer as much drive as he has in recent weeks. Both sides had plenty of chances with neither able to put them away, so a draw is a fair result.

Agree he is not a finished product by any stretch but no one has yet mentioned who should replace him. Serg is leaving and is probably not worth persevering with, Jero isn't a target man, Kosto is probably the best option.
But as I said the issue is the lack of service Bruce receives. Poor crossing, slow counters and isolation much of the game leaves him with much work to do and often being double teamed by the two oppostion defenders.

i only get fed up with the fact that people give him votes for best on ground when he doesn't score or create goals!!! nil nil and our defenders play awesome....bruce gets votes????? my argument is with the people voting for a striker that failed to do his job.
and anyone saying he doesn't get enough service or chances is wrong. he has plenty of opportunities to score.

Well if by plenty you mean one or two chances then sure. If you look at the amount of times our wingers and midfielders cross into the final third but fail to make a pass or cross to Bruce. If they do its usually delayed to the point the defenders have a chance to man Bruce up giving him no time and forcing him to blaze away from way out.

have you seen most of his runs in and around the box? behind defenders or just doesnt run. the blame isn't entirely on the midfielders creating chances...who score goals also.
