He was fantastic for Adelaide United and said all the right things... whispered sweet nothings in our ears... but at the end of the day we should judge Flores on his actions, not his words. He left the club for a buttload of money, that's fair enough. But having said what he's said, if he is going to come back and play for a someone else in the A-League (assuming that Adelaide are willing to make a genuine effort to fit him in), it'll be clear he's played us all for fools. And of course if he turned around and signed for Victory there can be no forgiveness, ever ..
(all hypothetical at this stage, of course I want him back @ los rojos...)
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Add to that the fact the Rini was happy to see him go and it makes sense. They apparently had a relationship based on tolerating the other, and when Rini didn't bother to fight for him and the new owners saw dollar signs - and refused to offer him even half of what other impressive imports were earning - I get why he left.

I honestly believe he'd like to come back here. But I also get why he'd play hardball with AUFC.

IMPORTANT OFFER OF ADELAIDE UNITED FC X Astralia ARG PLAYER ALAN SANCHEZ, Q IS IN ECUADOR MANTA; DEFINED IN 72 HS ::::::::
I've asked Val about it and he thinks it won't happen. This guy has a lot of similarities with Flores though.

I think we have some considerable cash to spend in the cap on an attacking mid and the door has been closed on flores.

Hope the club signs someone soon so we can just move on

If they do sign this guy, they'll likely wait for Flores to find another club to announce him. Going by Facebook, it would be a very unpopular move to sign this guy while Flores is still available.

Most of it will be forgotten if he is able to replicate some of that Flores magic on the field but he's unlikely to have the same level of fan engagement.

Thats the thing these people need to get into their heads. He is only available at a certain price. AUFC can't afford that price its really as simple as that.

IMO the club have done all they can explaining this (I actually think they've said too much). If those people don't get it now, they will probably never get it.

Haha too true! I think posting a statement on the offical website did go a touch far but as they have said on the adelaidereds.com site fans are screaming for this. They needed to make it all clear.

From Glenn Elliott himself. Both RA and RT had a joint 'thank you' meeting with him at Hindmarsh on Monday night, and apparently this was said.

Fox sports are reporting flores will be in the aleague next year and there are 5 clubs going for him.

FFA have said they will not be persuing flores for western sydney.

Also there are rumours he could be going to the mls with the sounders.

I hope he just goes to the US

IMO i have a feeling perth could be well in the running for him,
