WTF?!

I could see him doing OK actually alongside Serg. I hope he's still a bit chunky though or I'll never tell the 2 apart on the pitch...

New Signing

Postby am7 Thu Jun 30, 2011 8:44 pm

Hi all,

1st post from Scotland !!!! :D :D :D

I have heard a few rumours that Adelaide are keen on signing ex West Ham and St Mirren striker Billy Mehmet.

Im a St mirren fan and think he will be a great signing for Adelaide, very Big, strong and technical striker, he was our top goal scorer for 2 season and best player by far.

There was a bit of news in the Turkish paper. If you hear anything, please reply. Rangers were keen on signing him in January.

Havent heard about this tbh.
We just lost out playmaker (Flores), sold to China, so if he was a creative striker, we would be interested for sure.

Welcome. Not sure if you follow the A-league or not considering your in Scotland, hence explaining our situation.

I say yes to Cristiano if he is on a lot less than he used to be, play him off the bench. As for this tall striker, we already have 2 strikers fitting that bill (brucey is reasonably tall), but if he is fast, and technical as you say, I can't see any problem with him playing up front either - unorthodox but worth a try. Still doesn't solve our creative AM problem, actually I'd like 2 just to be safe.

Matricciani played a few games for us a while back didn't he? He was in my class at school, back in the days of skips vs wogs, though we got along. Would be nice to see some more rossi boys get a guernsey!

Where would cristiano fit in,

I think this yeAr we will play with only one true wing in slory , and djite may play on the other side but more as a striker. Though i xuppose he will be cheap and we have visa spots to burn with little cash to spend

Rini would have seen him play in holland for willem

Thanks for the reply,

I do follow as much as possible, The A-League Highlights are shown on sky sports in the UK, very late at night.

If I hear anything I will post.

Petrillo said two more SA Super League players may complete the squad once the expected signatures of McKain and Levchenko were confirmed.

Prolific goalscorers Michael Matricciani (MetroStars, 16 goals) and Ricardo da Silva (Adelaide City, 14 goals) were in line to earn the remaining contracts, Petrillo said.

However, the pair are unlikely to feature in Adelaide's friendly match against Campbelltown behind closed doors at Hindmarsh on Tuesday.
