Re: Your best AUFC game?
of course all of the 2008 ACL run was an amazing time to be an AU fan. but the top two that come to my mind instantly for my own reasons are this years 4-1 win in Melbourne and the 1-0 win over Queensland Roar in the 08/09 Preliminary.
i've made at least 5 trips over to Melbourne for the football, and have never witnessed any joy. my 1st trip being the 06/07 Major Semi Final 2nd leg, with that painful 90+ minute winner for MV. was hit in the back with a live flare at that match too! farkin frightening! still, the passion that was around me is what made me fall in love with AU. so to be there for the 4-1 win was incredible. not to mention the amazing lot that travelled over. all involved in active support. brilliant experience. signs of a positive fan future.
the second memory has that absolute blinding goal from Barbeiro imprinted in my mind. my god. what a way to send us to the Grand Final. i went to that match without a single thought about travelling to Melbourne for the Grand Final if we made it. i couldn't afford it. but in the mist of all the celebrating, my best mate and i looked at each other and said we are going! lol. i was broke as anything, borrowed money to book the flights that night (which more than doubled after the final whistle of this match, bastards.) and then started work that night at 11pm with nothing on my mind but, "i have one week to get these funds together, not going is not an option!". that's when i knew i was well and truly hooked... now i know i will never not renew my membership. AUFC 'til i die.
EDIT: lol, and as i post this, the gentleman from the second story has posted just above me!

Most enjoyable wins I've been to:
AUFC 2 South Melbourne 1 (AET) @ Hindmarsh 03/04 NSL
AUFC 3 Sydney FC 2 @ Hindmarsh 05/06
Melbourne Victory 0 AUFC 1 @ Etihad 06/07
AUFC 4 Melbourne Victory 1 @ Hindmarsh 07/08
AUFC 3 Bunyodkor 0 @ Hindmarsh 08 Champions League
Melbourne Victory 1 AUFC 4 @ AAMI Park 10/11
They are the ones that stand out for me.

Our 1 nil grand final loss to melbouren for me , i agree with nash.
I loved the build up , driving to melbourne seeing reds fans in every town , eating maccas for brekky with many other random reds in bendigo. The commaraderie all weekend was amazing.
Even after we lost not one reds fan left while mv fans were heading out and we gabe the boys a standing ovation

Forgot about this one. That season in general was absolutely brilliant. Just a shame it ended so horribly.

Not from what i remember, they blocked us from walking around the stadium,
But the exit behind us was free for us to walk out of and us only
