It's weird. I don't turn up expecting to win, but obviously that's how its been so far this season.
But last year I didn't turn up expecting to lose either. Wasn't that fun?

Hell yeah.. been to way fewer games than I would have liked this season though.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Adelaide United are always strong at home (last season the exception), and I think the intimacy of Hindmarsh plays a big part.

I think it's also helped in the good start of the season. United have had NO disruptions to fixtures (unlike Newcastle, Central Coast and the like) and in a league like this these subtle facts are significant.

DV,

you forget nearly the entire first team was out injured at the start of the season, if we had the fixturing of the jets it may well have helped us.

However im not complaining

last year, if we had a 2-1 lead against GC, even at home, i would have just expected to concede and throw away the win. on Friday, altho it was still nerve racking, i had belief and faith in the team.

feels farken great don't it!

And United haven't had injuries this season? They have dealt with them better this season than previously I'd have thought. Can't imagine Vidmar dealing with the loss of key personnel (like Leckie) as well as Coolen has so far.

With our home games being great so far this season, hopefully we can go on a great run at home like Wellington did.

Clearly all im trying to say is if we had the fixtures of the jets where they had some early byes it would have likely suited us even better, saying that our fixturing this year has helped us would not be true,

im not sure where i was comparing this season to last

hopefully we can continue building our crowds to and bring our expected min up from the 7-9k we sometimes get to 10-12k with big games selling out or close to it.

Having a full stadium is a unique advantage that AU has over pretty much the rest of the comp.

BEN Buckley does not need reminding: the biggest task confronting Football Federation Australia's boss as he sets out on a second term in charge of the game's governing body is to stem the haemorrhaging crowds that are threatening to bleed the A-League to death.

Save for a handful of locations - principally Adelaide, where support has held firm on the back of the team's resurgence this season...

When we reach ten home games won, I will change the title of the thread to "Fortress Hindmarsh" .
