Good backup to Kitto. If he can keep fit hopefully he can rediscover his form from the first season.

Agreed.
The extra year is going to look like a bad bit of business by the club if he breaks down again or continues to struggle for form. His versatility would have made it just about worthwhile giving him one more year to rediscover his mojo.

He's not the only one on longer contracts that simply has not performed and it's compounding our squad issues.

He's not the only one on longer contracts that simply has not performed and it's compounding our squad issues.
And yet the club seemingly was reluctant to offer our much more reliable player of the year and proven goal scorer a 2 year deal.
Mind boggling
