Gee if the owners don’t sign some decent players in the off season we are going to be in trouble , going to miss juanda , at least he could hold the ball up

Re: Who's signed for next season
The legs get older each year and the arrival of Jay Barnett essentially left only one space in the squad for an elder statesman DM.Gee if the owners don’t sign some decent players in the off season we are going to be in trouble , going to miss juanda , at least he could hold the ball up
I hope he hangs about SA though as he has a lot to contribute to the game off the pitch.
Not sure on the need for a lot of signings. Many in our squad are very young and now have another season under their belt, making a more stable performing squad next season.

Re: Who's signed for next season
We need 4 decent players , a centre back with experience, to shore up our leaky defence.
A class midfielder who can hold the ball and pass it to a team mate would be a great start.
A classy 10 to bring our midfield and forwards together.
And a fast centre forward who can hold the ball up .
With what we have and them 4 we would be a team to beat

Dylan Pereais (?) from Western United would be a very good pick up. Cover for Kitto as I think Carvahlo’s days are numbered, too many injuries.

Rumours are that he’s off to WSW and he’s very much a right winger nowadays.Dylan Pereais (?) from Western United would be a very good pick up. Cover for Kitto as I think Carvahlo’s days are numbered, too many injuries.

Speaking of right wingers, apparently Mabil is going to WSW on loan. Bit of a shame but really Bernardo and Nestor have to be the priority next year. It looks like Halloran will be there too, hopefully he recovers from whatever injuries he's been carrying and firing.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I know must of u on this forum have to be south Australians , but this foolish love of only wanting SA players , is what holds this club back . Yes the talent pool is fantastic and yes u have to bring throw the kids but , just think how much better they would be if we had a couple more hard heads to show them the way . Don’t get me wrong we have 3-4 great roll models, but we could do with 2-3 more , because when it gets to the pointy end of the season we always fall over

That’s a fair call. While I would struggle to identify with a team full of interstaters and imports I think it would be counterproductive to consciously try to fill the squad with SA boys.
But I don’t think the club will be going down that route any time soon. History shows that they are always prepared to bring in guys from far and wide to try and improve the team.
But since day one they have built around a nucleus of local talent and I for one hope that never changes.

Speaking of "local talent" - word on the street is that Yengi is wanted by Portsmouth and WSW could be pocketing a 6 figure fee.
The club really missed a trick there

A-League needs to allow loans and transfer fees between clubs.Speaking of "local talent" - word on the street is that Yengi is wanted by Portsmouth and WSW could be pocketing a 6 figure fee.

Re: Who's signed for next season
im led to believe that the club have sounded out the availability of charles m'mombwa from macarthur, he has a lot of friends in adelaide and played in the african cup of nations on sunday.
he is under contract for another season with the bulls, but his numbers arent that great in terms of goals/assists for the position he plays.
take this with a grain of salt like any off season rumour
adelaide still havent released its full delisted list either as well from this season

Re: Who's signed for next season
I don’t think Adelaide will de-list anybody other than Juande. They’re still a work in progress for another season.
Still too reliant on one or two stars, getting into the finals will again be this season’s goal.
