I took part in the APL fantasy team and won the weekly prize of 2 GA tickets. Fluke or what? The tickets were sent via email with the date of Saturday April 29, kickoff at 4.30. I queried this and was told that the game had been re-scheduled.
The United website still has Ticketek selling for Friday April 29. Does anyone have any clarity on this one?

Re: Reds v CCM re-scheduled?
Thanks Offshore
The game must have been re-scheduled months ago, someone would have realised that five games on the final day of the season was too European. And who did they choose? Why, the team that played in Perth on the previous Sunday of course.
As for the Fantasy team it’s best to be ruled by your head and not your heart. Goody was there from the start and Clough was in and out because of his injuries. They were my only Reds.

Re: Reds v CCM re-scheduled?
haha, yes the quick turnaround isn’t ideal… but I think the friday night time slot is traditionally the biggest crowd puller for AUFC - I personally am happy with the decision
as for the game itself, depending on what happens this weekend of course, could be the 2nd spot decider
CCM are back in form, both teams can play exciting football… should be a great game to end the home and away season

Re: Reds v CCM re-scheduled?
just realised AUFC vs CCM and City vs WSW both kick off at 7:15pm acst friday night
if City hadn’t have wrapped up the title so early, this could’ve been really interesting… still can be I guess, as even though this is the guaranteed top four, the order of 2nd, 3rd and 4th is yet to be decided
I’m sure we will have a simultaneous kickoff on the final day eventually - this season would’ve been great… apart from MV every team still has something to play for

What's everyone's thoughts on the new finals format?
First and second get a week off, 3-6 playoff, and the winners takes on first and second across 2 legs (home and away).
I really struggle to see the advantage of finishing top 2, except for going straight to the semi.
The teams who win the 3-6 playoff will be match ready and still get a home leg.

Re: Reds v CCM re-scheduled?
Barr the only likely inclusion. Clough and Ibusuki not involved in the main training session on Thursday.

Re: Reds v CCM re-scheduled?
Going back to my original post, does anybody remember when and why the game was re-scheduled?
Not one for conspiracy theories but, the top four playing at the same time seems a little contrived.
As for the game, Kitto better be on his game as Silvera looks dangerous.
Plan B. Five across the back and get them with a breakaway.

From memory, the schedule for matches after February weren't set until mid season. The wayback machine seems to confirm this:Going back to my original post, does anybody remember when and why the game was re-scheduled?

My guess is its due to issues with ground availability with the WWC stadium upgrades (like Perth) and the NRL season starting up.
