This should be an old fashioned slaughter. We are surging as the best team in the league, scoring even when we don't play well and Sadney ... is a basket case of individuals who look like they all met and shook hands 5 minutes before the start of a park kick around.
The only way that we don't win by at least 3 is if the team coach is late turning up to Hindmarsh. Sadney are so rubbish it's difficult to believe that we haven't thrashed them already this season. None of them play for each other and a lot of them are clearly thinking about where they can sign for next season. They are also the oldest side in the league; Wilkinson is 38! Send everything down Wilkinson's side and watch the goals flow, as he watches our front 3 sweep past him effortlessly. I would last longer at LB than he does and I last played 10 years ago.
In AFL terms, this is a percentage builder. Put this one in the bank and start thinking about when MC Petrodollars finally lose top spot to us. It could be as soon as next weekend, if they fall to the Jest today (unlikely) and the filth on Wednesday (probable). More likely, I think it will be Rd 24, but either way, top spot is ours to lose.

In Goodwin we trust.
And at the other end, in Gauci we trust.
Just remember the G
And yes I know we're more than a two trick pony. I think the secret to our success is the way we work as a team.

They are struggling, sure but they have some individual quality which is always dangerous. Mak, Lolley, LaFondre, Rodwell, Caballo, these guys have played in top leagues and are quality, if aged.
I'm guessing we'll be without Isa, which is ok if Barnett is back.
Should be a bumper crowd.

We are playing with confidence.
And MC drop points again.
Sydney, Come on down!

This will not be a stroll in the park. We’ll need to be right on top of our game. This is not the time to let complacency derail us.

Agree. Sydney always play well against us.This will not be a stroll in the park. We’ll need to be right on top of our game. This is not the time to let complacency derail us.
They're very up and down so it will depend on what side shows up.
Should be our biggest crowd of the season.

I watched all the ALM games this weekend, the second best game was Sydney/Western Utd. We mustn’t underestimate either team. The weather forecast for Friday is 90% chance of rain which could affect the crowd numbers. Coopers in the rain is no fun, fortunately the kickoff is early. Another three points should secure second place. I can’t see MC dropping points on Wednesday after their performance yesterday. They were woeful but Newcastle should be relegated for their lack of talent.

Re: AUFC vs Sadney - preview
All that Sadney have going for them is Mak. Shut him down and they are toothless and slow.
MC Petrodollars were woeful yesterday. They only just managed to scramble a draw, in the final minute of extra time, against the worst team in the competition - and on their home deck. The filth will be very highly motivated against them on Wednesday night.
For us, I'm not normally this confident, but I just can't see Sadney getting anything out of Friday night. Even their own supporters are dreading the match. If we are 2 - 0 up by the half, then it's game over.

Problem is our defence. Anyone can score 1 or 2 against us. We just have the ability to score more.
Hopefully Barnett or Isa return for this as we are lacking defensive midfielders.
