First 3 games away from home, 6 out of the first 8 matches on the road - bookended by 2 trips across to the ditch to play the sheep worriers,
If we are anywhere near the top end of the ladder after that start it will be a minor miracle.

Re: Fixtures 22/23
That is what stuck out for me, too, on first glance - we will be the road trips specialists for the first 2 months of the season (Oct & Nov). The corollary is, though, that we will then have a strong run of home games through Dec and Jan, when lots of us will be off work, or at least thinking about holidays and going to the matches, in the warm evenings will be even more attractive - especially for those of us with families.
If we can be, say, 4 - 4 after those first 8 matches, we will have done incredibly well. That will give us a really firm foundation for the rest of the season.

Incredibly tough start and one of the biggest issues with the A-League season not mirroring other major leagues with its home-away-home-away model.

The club requested the away games to start the season due to the stadium works.

We’re a strong away team.
This will work to our advantage.

I get an 8 game membership each year because I can’t do Sunday games because of work. (Fair enough. Some people can’t do Saturdays or Fridays.)
But … I only just realised 7 out of our first 8 games this season (home and away) are on Sundays.

Not sure what fixture list you're looking at Otto but mine says the first 5 games are on Sunday and 4 of those are away. There are just 2 more Sunday home games for the season after that - rounds 17 and 24, so only 3 in total.

Still … first 5 games are Sunday … including missing the first game at the ‘new’ stadium.
