Cornflakes reporting that Delianov and Eugene have signed new deals and will be announced this week.

Two good re-signings, now we gotta lock down Kitto and maybe Konstand and we are in a good spot.

He was superb for us, however we have two promising right wingers in Bernardo and Nestory. I've seen enough from the kids to be comfortable with them mixing it up on the right with several other more senior players who can step in to the role if need be.

We desperately need a right footed winger.

Would love to have Halloran tho. Can operate anywhere across that front 3rd and even in midfield.

Nestory is not there yet and Bernado is good but I'd like some more quality and experience which Benny brings.

H'Euge.

I think we will lose Gauci who is attracting a lot of overseas interest as a result of him being elite and also his showing at the U23 AFC Cup. He will be a big loss. Bloke is future NT 'keeper.

Delianov is very injury prone so I'd like us to get Dakota back as backup. Him and Hall(?) can cover Delianov's half season on the sidelines.

Just on Bernardo, he’ll be a 10 in the long term anyway but according to Veart is “learning his craft” out wide. I think it’s a good move for him given he has the makings of a 10 while out wide he is virtually the same as Brook so that way we can fit both in the XI.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Nestory goes overseas as soon as he’s 18 like Mo did.

Mo is a much more complete footballer than Nestory though. NI has some raw talent (noteably a fuckin traction engine of a foot, and a willingness to shoot from anywhere) but in terms of control, positioning, passing, touch, and vision he is worse than the other young'uns.
He's also much younger though, so has heaps of time to improve those parts of his game.

Bring back Halloran.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Delianov has re-signed for two years which leaves Kitto and Konstand as our only remaining out of contract players. Both are expected to stay.

Looking at our squad, we need 5 more signings and this is what I'm hoping/expecting will happen.

Warland to return
Goodwin to sign pernamently
Brook to sign pernamently
Halloran (or another right footed winger) to sign
A backup striker to be signed.

Good to see the club has been busy early on with its signings and re-signings.

How long is the off season this time around?

I'm not sure but you'd think we'd be starting our season early like the rest of the world because of the world cup but we do like to do things differently down here...

Agree with all this.

Hurts losing both Yengi and Mo. Hard to replace too as both would have been on very modest contracts.

Arnie was calling it to start in September (which would be ideal) but the Sydney FC CEO* said that was unlikely due to difficulty with ground availability with other codes still playing.

He did say we would start earlier than ever before but I imagine it will be early October.

*He is also the A-League CEO which is not a conflict of interest at all..

Bloody hope so.

We are yet to sign anyone other than HVDS (who would have been cheap).

This would be a great get.
