Way too early in his career for that in my opinion.

If he can go to a club that serious develops young players - and he can pull his head in and learn - he'll be ok. The truth is that Australian football has no discernible development path at present, barring the incredible efforts of clubs like our own.

Les Verts aka St Etienne has a great reputation for developing and selling players, they are the club I follow in ligue 1.
Unfortunately they are having a terrible season and no guarantee of staying up in ligue 1, they also have some pretty crazy fans and lots of internal issues! But even in ligue 2, would no doubt be a good move.

Here’s one I heard, Harry Van der Saag from Sydney signed for next season. Definitely need RB so would make sense
