I would disagree on that score. The squad has the talent and capacity to perform for a one off match such as this. What it lacks at this point in time is depth to sustain a campaign on three fronts. What a joke of a squad.
AU to be the second HAL club to be knocked out of the Cup by a NPL team this year?

It would not be as big a surprise as normal if there was an upset. Lacking a true striker is not going to make things easy but overall the team is still solid at the back and the midfield has far more class than what we are facing. However endeavour, match fitness and a stacked defence might be enough to over come the difference if we cannot finish.

It is game day of a game we are going to win because overall we have more talent across the team, we will find a couple of ways of scoring, it might not be pretty, we might not play dazzling attacking play, but we will score more goals and we will win.

Re: FFA Cup: Redlands Utd v AUFC
So who is going to play up front?
Eugene comments probably rule out McGowan or another defensive player playing a target man role.
"Defensively we have a lot of experience, but probably the front three is a bit younger or they’re playing slightly out of position. We’ve always said our defending starts at the front and our attacks start at the back. If we play our way, and play out from the back, I think it can make it easier for the front three. Our boys with more of the experience will try and help out the lesser experienced guys as much as possible."

So it seems the front three, if Galekovic can be believed, will be young, so no Carrusca playing as the striker, and will only be slightly out of position which means a young winger will be the striker. So the front 3 will be from Kitto, O'Doherty, Ochieng and Garrucio, probably the first three.
Personally I would go with Kitto as the striker just because of his extra experience at the level and having scored a couple of A-league goals.

United will win simply because our team has more classy players.
Last night Green gully were helped by two wrong calls. CCM should have been 2 goals up at half time, the second goal was a walk through their defence and if CCM had gone in with a two goal lead they just would have shut up shop to sustain their energy.
Amor is the smartest coach in the HAL, so I trust him to do the business

My prediction
Adelaide United 7-0 Redlands
Isaias 4, Kitto 2, Elrich
Isaias will have his grand final free kick boots on and will score from 4 free kicks.

It could be worse. Glad CCM lost last night as it takes a bit of the edge off things if we lose. We shouldn't of course...
