Re Garuccio, that may have just become more difficult given Zullo has now signed for Sydney...

Re: Who's signed for next season
These are the nuggets of info i prefer to give attention instead of rumours with no sources.A post on FN from one of the hosts of Soccer531.I'm not sure what they mean by yes to Kitto or Marino but it sounds very promising. We had Ante Kovacevic on our show last week. Here's roughly what he said:
Kitto - yes
Marino - yes
Garuccio - interested but contracted
Mitch Austin - wants out of CCM. AU keen but contracted
Ruon Tongyik - likely to be promoted
Kamau - turned his back on agreement with club. Parents wanted him to move
Castalen - no
Sanchez - clubs wants a foreigner who will start every week
Mells - contracted
McGowan - sniffing around overseas.
Dylan Smith, Warland, Ochieng - undecided
Tongyik certainly deserves a contract.
Sounds like the club has exercised to 2nd year on Mells' contract.
Everything seems sensible and above board

Given how fickle the csl can be it would be interesting if ersan gulum was released and an aleague signed him. Would love him here but cant help but think victory would be all over it.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I saw him play when I was in Shanghai. I was hoping to somehow bump into him and say come to AU!Given how fickle the csl can be it would be interesting if ersan gulum was released and an aleague signed him. Would love him here but cant help but think victory would be all over it.
But as you say it does seem fickle. I would be surprised if one or two Aussies just signed are looking for an out some time in the future.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Watson is a known quantity, would be cheap, could cover the team during the ACL period. Would not be the worst option for last spot on the list, but surely there is someone younger with more potential who could do it.http://www.a-league.com.au/photo-galler ... year-old-1
Anyone of interest?
I'd seriously consider Watson for a spot depending on who they sign first. He's obviously familiar with the squad, has leadership qualities, is clearly liked around the club, has versatility and will give 100%.
I'm not saying he's top of my list but I honestly think the club could do a lot worse.
Otherwise Kitto obviously as mentioned. But Golgol could be a good punt. The club brought in Babalj this season Golgol could be that player as well. He's been in and amongst the possession based game with WSW so I think coming to AU wouldn't be a massive transition.
I agree that Golgol could be an option, he does have talent that he has not put into performances in my view, but it does depend on who else we sign.
Kitto and Marino are the two obvious players in the list who we are already linked.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Watson was not good enough when we were average and not good enough for the Jets, why the hell would we take him back?? Better options than him surely!!
Troisi would still be a great fit at AU, would we have a chance of getting him now we have ACL?

That's why I said he's not top of the list.Watson was not good enough when we were average and not good enough for the Jets, why the hell would we take him back?? Better options than him surely!!

Troisi has only just signed with his CSL club so unless something hits the fan I can't see him leaving there.
I think Burns is a more likely option.

Anyone knows if Van Dijk is still around? With Sanchez gone, there's room for another import player, and I assume he counts as an Asian player, so he would come in handy when it's time to play Champions League.

Club have already said they wanted to fill the last visa spot with a player to start every week. Not sure Van Dijk fits that description.Anyone knows if Van Dijk is still around? I'm hoping the club is going to be a bit more ambitious.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I don't know. It would be nice with a solid cover for Bruce and I think Van Dijk still has it in him to compete for a spot in the starting 11. That being said though, even if they don't sign Van Dijk, I'd like to see an Asian player fill the last visa spot.Club have already said they wanted to fill the last visa spot with a player to start every week. Re: Who's signed for next season
Serg was training back in the Netherlands last time I heard. Although I'm certain Ed can give us more details since he's besties with Serg
An Asian player would be ideal. For the ACL. Although they generally speaking are seriously overvalued.

Would be good if we could sign a quality Asian +1 purely for the ACL.
