Not long ago I was dreading this fixture, now suddenly it is doable. Brisbane have to pick themselves up off the floor following their shellacking at the hands of Victory whereas we are hitting our straps.

I dare say the Brisbane defence won't be as accommodating this Friday.

No Jeggo is a loss. Need a box to box player to replace which mells fills but isn't a good on the touch.

Think marrone also out so who will take the rb with cirio out meaning goody to stay high on the line up.

We could play

Margush
Elrich - La Rocca - Elsey - Goodwin
Malik
Isaias - Carrusca
Pablo - Babalj - Troisi

Jeggo out? Give mells a run with out fear. Let him play hopefully we can sign him on a long term deal. The kid is quality with a bit of time he will pay dividends.

How long can this run last? We are in reach of the top four thats the best we can hope for realistically but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

I wonder if margush will get another run

Is Cirio still out?
If so Mells is the natural replacement, if not I wouldn't be averse t Pablo filling that void - good close control, can play good through balls and experience.
Marguish seemed to be louder to his defenders than Hall, it's a major weakness of Hall's I reckon

Cirio will probably miss a couple weeks according to Amor.

Back four and keeper were rarely tested against CCM. Brisbane will be a much sterner test for them.

No maclaren or borrello makes it easier on them.
But no marrone or jeggo or cirio for us levels the losses for them.
Forecast for a muggy hot day up here so will need bench impact i think.

So Elsey back but Marrone and Jeggo out.

Would probably expect the following lineup:

Elrich-Elsey-McGowan-Goody
Carrusca-Isa-Mells
Pablo-Djite-Dugandzic

Makes Jeggo's yellow even more frustrating that he's suspended.
I think AU will need to be more secure defensively, I find Goodwin too overly attacking at LB. Personally I've alway found Malik very good in a wide defensive position and this allows him to get back into the side as I view him as too good a player to leave out.
I found AU were more counter attacking on the weekend which I liked to see. If this is something Amor is moving towards maybe starting with Babalj could be better?

..........Margush
Malik..Elsey..McGowan..Elrich
..........Isaias
.....Carrusca..Mells
Pablo......Bruce.......Goodwin

Steffenuto is definitely out. McKay is uncertain.
He's absence would be a boost.

Brisbane away is 90% of the time a favourable fixture for us. We have a fantastic record at Suncorpse and it's only when we play absolutely horribly that we drop points there.

It's already being scripted: Brisbane's confidence would be weakened after being killed by Victory. Meanwhile we're in good form. I would expect us to win this, because we have a potential three-match losing streak approaching (Brisbane at home, CCM and Victory away).

We will probably need only two goals to beat them, and the secret is to neuter Henrique's impact should he play.

Fully agree with this lineup. Minimal disruption to the team (I hope Mells can do the business in Jeggo's spot).
If Bruce is ineffective drag him early (like 60 mins) for Babalj.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.
