Re: Who's signed for next season
Dave Davutovic claims AU are in the market for a striker. I'm not sure if he knows something or is drawing on the fact that AU have had about 5 strikers on trial this season.

So Football Central are tweeting that AZ are looking to loan out Babalj.

I'm guessing the Mariners & Roar may be interested, any others apart from us?

He's a much talked about figure in Asian football. Underrated player.I just wiki'd Phil Younghusband, where did you pull that name from???
Nice strike rate, a goal a game in the Filipino league....
Richard Porta would be interesting too.

Here's a shot fired across the selection bows - would AUFC consider taking Jeronimo back? Apparently he is unhappy at the Newcastle Sopwith Camels - and who wouldn't be? - plus we obviously need someone to back up Bruce.
The problem will be the amount of foreigners whom we already have on our list - and I do not for a moment want to consider getting rid of any one of them - but it's an intriguing possibility nonetheless.

Consider and sanchez the same type of play except sanchez is more versatile and is a much smarter player. Here's a shot fired across the selection bows - would AUFC consider taking Jeronimo back? I think this striker gombau wanted may have done the dirty and backed out last minute because i very much doubt we would have let jero go in the first place.

http://www.noordhollandsdagblad.nl/spor ... ef=r_sportEli Babalj not with AZ to Portugal. Both attackers may look for another club.
Hopefully AU can get him on a loan!

Re: Who's signed for next season
Babalj always struck me as a bit of a basket case.

Are you thinking of Bulut and not Babalj? I can't remember Babalj having any attitude issues while he was at Heart.Babalj always struck me as a bit of a basket case.

Babalj is just supposed to be a bit arrogant & stuff I think. Bulut is the one who rolls with gangsters etc
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Re: Who's signed for next season
When i say basket case i mean he often found himself in almost comical situations where he managed to fluff a prime opportunity due to selfishness or poor judgement.
He is a young striker though so ill give him benefit of the doubt.
He had a bust up during training in europe but from all reports he was standing up for himself from an over zealous senior squad member.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Scott mcdonald is now without a club, probably not the kind of striker we need but another option all the same

Re: Who's signed for next season
Given the money he was probably earning in the Championship I'd say it would be a large waste of money.Scott mcdonald is now without a club, probably not the kind of striker we need but another option all the same
I very much doubt he would suit AU's style.
