Watching South Melbourne v Melbourne City and you can see the colour South Melbourne would bring to the A-League.

City absolutely dominated SMSF.

We've battled against similar level opposition.

They're gonna be a very tough outfit this season.

True, though or opposition had at least been playing. The Victorian lockdown(s) meant South Melbourne hadn't played a competitive match since July. Not easy for part-timers.

Adelaide City will have to deal with an "out of season" match when they play their next FFA Cup round in December.
It could get ugly for them ...

Hopefully they can line up a series of friendlies against our youth squad topped up with some squad players that would benefit in terms of match fitness.
