Someone must have told the camera person to not show the top sections of the grandstands...

Not sure if anyone else had seen it but they sold tickets to the fans/members of each club, the cheapest seats being $50. Then after draining the cash out of the financial supporters of the A-league that actually care, they gave away free family tickets to anyone who spent $15 on the maccas app.
If it was me I’d be cheesed off.
But …
Looked like a pretty good crowd.
Surely that’s better than a half full ground?

The Petrodollars look barely interested. The Western Homeless are sharp, keen and desperate for every ball. The Petrodollars look like they are already on their end of season trip.

Just on the crowd too - we sold out Adelaide Oval in 2016: 51,500, plus a few standing tickets only, if I recall correctly. Petrodollars and Western Homeless can't even sell out a 20,000 seat stadium. So much for Melbourne being the (claimed) "sporting capital of Australia"!

Well deserved too. I'm not sure that we would have beaten them, if we had made it through to the GF.

congrats to Johnny A and his team

huge effort after the semi final… I didn’t think they’d have enough juice left in the tank to get it done

I think if we’d got past City we would have given Western more trouble than City managed.

Congratulations to Western and John Aloisi.

Kinda sad that a team that was only recently invented, has no supporters, and no home ground (or 3 or 4) wins the league.

It's also a bit surprising that a team that managed ONE shot on target contrived to win 2 - 0; thanks to Owen Goal, of course, but even so ....

I’d rather that than the money clubs MV or Sydney or City winning it every year. Means we can hope to win it again too. 😁
