I know right! Can you believe we played a friendly against Brisbane Roar on the weekend. I heard nothing about it before or during the game. Just 1 quick facebook post after the game to say we lost 2-0. Goodwin got his first minutes back after his surgery/recovery and I think that would have been welcome good news for most AU supporters.

We need a little bit of passion and club marketing from the AU social teams to go with the memes.

Also, your title is a bit confusing 7G, In case you missed it, we are all A-league so you need to specify A-league Mens otherwise no one will know which league you are talking about....

M City 2 - Victory 2; hate to admit it, but that was a cracking game of football.

Agreed. Can't say it's not an entertaining league at the moment.

Nice watching Perth roll Sydney tonight.

They are doing it tough.

Sydney v CCM - For a moment there I forgot how much the refs favour Sydney.

Is VAR standing down this season? Or have they redefined the definition of “clear and obvious error”?

John Aloisi's Western United with a win over the Wanderers. They certainly are looking an improved outfit under Aloisi (decent looking kit this year as well).

The fact they grind Victory's gears is in their favour as well.

Cracking goal from Noone in the Mariners-Bulls game.

Mariners v Perth was a decent game tonight, given how tough Perth a doing it. Pacifique looked really good, probably best on the pitch for Perth, but was dragged at 55'. My guess is they have so many games on the road in a row that players are gassed. 1-1 in the end. A game the Mariners should have won however you have to feel for Perth.

Saw Mo briefly in the Roar-Bulls game. At least he is getting minutes.

No penalty against MC?
Var?
Shawn Evans is a malaka.

Melbourne City get away with murder.

The other penalty call was also contentious, I thought the foul was outside the box personally.

The 87th minute decision took about 5 minutes, I'm not sure how that wasn't a penalty. Non A-league football fans see that and it just reaffirms their opinion that the a-league is a joke league.

They are right. So long as this stuff keeps happening it IS a joke league.
Integrity of the game should always be the priority. (I still feel bad about beating Mariners with 3 dodgy penalties that time)
