Melbourne City get away with murder.
There were some very poor calls last night; not even marginal.

It's frustrating.

No penalty against MC?
Var?
Shawn Evans is a malaka.

Melbourne City get away with murder.
The other penalty call was also contentious, I thought the foul was outside the box personally.

The 87th minute decision took about 5 minutes, I'm not sure how that wasn't a penalty. Non A-league football fans see that and it just reaffirms their opinion that the a-league is a joke league.
I did not see the entire game, only from about the 82min but that was enough, especially the way the two commentators were reacting to the entire VAR show and their referring to the other penalty.

It's frustrating and it makes me angry.

I've just viewed the other penalty incident and I feel sick.
Evans' ego is so big that he decided both times he was right and VAR was wrong.

Get him out of the game.

The question has to be is it ego/pride or something more sinister?

If we witnessed similar isolated events in other leagues around the world we'd be saying corruption, the question has to be asked.

Certainly there needs to be an investigation and an explanation. If we, non-Mariners fans, are outraged then something is truly amiss.

If anything one should keep an eye on any unusual betting patterns.
Criminal gambling syndicates and all that ...

Western United 2 v Newcastle Jets 1 in the final minutes.
Western holding on under a late surge from the Jets.

Topor-Stanley goes in with his boot waist high, misses the ball, late arriving, studs up, and clearly collects the Jets player. Clear red card. Ref gives it.

Commentators say it shouldn’t be a red, because it was only a glancing blow to the players groin, not a full on contact.
Ref gets the word in his ear to look at VAR …. which is a rarity this season …. overturns it and gives a yellow instead.

The league, the refs and the commentators have a responsibility for player safety. That decision of no red card just signals to every player in the league that you can go in late waist high studs up collect the player and get away with it.

MV 1 v WSW 1

Just love how the teams chasing us just get draw after draw.
And a red card to Miranda puts him out for the game against us.

Watching Sydney walk 3 goals past CCM in the space of 4 mins, literally walked them in. Gave Sydney a chance to take 4 players off straight away to rest them for our game on tuesday.

Victory up 3-0 against City at the moment too.

Also if you love the A-league because anything can and will happen, watch the highlights from the Brisbane v WSW game today. Poor Margush!

Watched the second half. Oh so sweet.

Winner of our semi surely goes in as favourites.

Someone must have told the camera person to not show the top sections of the grandstands...

Not sure if anyone else had seen it but they sold tickets to the fans/members of each club, the cheapest seats being $50. Then after draining the cash out of the financial supporters of the A-league that actually care, they gave away free family tickets to anyone who spent $15 on the maccas app.
