Melbourne Derby - 0-0
Half time.

Pretty boring.

Pretty uninspiring football from Victory.
Early signs are the board made a good decision to replace Kurz. Will be interesting to see how Victory evolve under him.

Evolve or revolt under Kurz? Time will tell.

The CCM v WSW game was much more exciting. CCM are looking a half decent team these days, just need their Visa players to succeed (that'd be nice for us too with currently only 1 visa player in the starting XI).

Another (unavoidable IMO) handball given through VAR resulting in a penalty. If they are consistent I guess it's fine, hate the rule not the ones enforcing it. However you have to feel for the mariners, the ball was being cleared by a mariners player and there was no way he could move his arm in time, it wasn't like it stopped an attack by the opposition.

Seems like a huge waste for Stamatelopoulos to have moved on only to be riding the pine behind Berisha, McDonald and Diamanti

The risk you take I guess joining one of the new clubs. It's worked out well for us. Think about all the events that had to transpire for AH Toure to get a look in. Now he's a high on confidence striker with a decent goals:game ratio.

Stama would have been better off going to CCM, Jets or Nix if he wanted more opportunities.

Having a Melbourne Derby in Round 1 is no good for anybody.

MV 1-2 down at the 92min mark.

And that's how it finishes.

Found myself cheering when WSW scored their 2 goals. Hope the pain continues for Victory.Image

MVC 2-3 WUN

80min mark.

Another home loss for MV coming up?

Hahahahahaha, it's the first time MV has lost a game after going up 2-0.

After hearing how Kurz shunned the youth team in his time here and seeing what he is doing with a "bigger team"... I feel confident that our owners made the right choice, especially the way Verbeek has us playing attractive football.

How long will Kurz last at MV? Could we see him booted before Xmas?

Very much enjoying Victory’s early season misfortune.
