Bris v MV
Hate the so so biased commentary. For the third week in a row Bautiac cops a damaging tackle and the ref just shrugs it off as if it's nothing. The red mist descended and he was rightly sent off. But if the refs actually gave him some protection perhaps the game doesn't get out of control.

Every MV foul was "there was nothing in that". Papadopoulos gets a shiner "nothing in that". Dirty dirty team.

Sydney v Brisbane

Near the end of the first half we see Brosque with a straight arm to the throat of a Brisbane player as he tackles for the ball and the commentary goes strangely quiet , they seem to ignore it.

The Ref just has a talk with Brosque and lets him go on.

At the end of the Brisbane players treatment Speed mentions the player having to get on with it after a "straight elbow" to the throat.

Well, Wellington Phoenix is certainly making a mighty claim to stay in the A-league.

Perth are making the most of our win over Victory and are 2-0 up against Sydney going into half-time.

Perth make it 3-0 going into the break because, well, they can.

Marcus Babbel on the FFA and the level of referees in the A-league
“If they don’t see it, then they’re fucking blind. They have to see it, they have to do something, because the quality is not good enough.

Said in Teutonic clear text and fair enough. :D

Surprised he made it that long. I don't know what is happening at CCM, however with the squad they have they should be at least competitive at home, not cannon fodder.

No relegation, no worries.

Brisbane looked listless against Newcastle last night.

The Mariners recorded a decent win against Wanderers however quite a number of reckless challenges occured and Baumjohann is lucky to not have a broken leg. Deperation and fight is fine, but you require controlled aggression. 2019/20 could be a tough one for shins and ankles if Stajcic encourages aggro without the discipline (assuming he gets the gig).

City 4-0 at the 54' mark................ we could be facing Melbourne City at this rate.

Good to see Newcastle are working hard to undermine Sydney's confidence as we head into the finals. 2-0 at the 77' mark.
